SILSBOND Pretreatment

SILSBOND Pretreatment

- Patented hybrid pretreatment combining organic and inorganic materials to enhance paint adhesion and prolonged lifespan of painted metal parts
- A thin film at the nanoscale, ranging from 20 to 50 nm in thickness, can be formed onto a metal surface through either ambient immersion or spraying methods
- The SILSBOND pretreatment process is brief and operates at ambient conditions, effectively reduces flash rust, and does not require waste management

Silane-based Passivation

Silane-based Passivation

- An organofunctional silane-based, Cr-free passivation film (0.5–1.5 μm thick) for corrosion protection of galvanized steel coils
- Can be used in both continuous and batch galvanized steel production lines
-Offers strong wet storage stain protection for various galvanized steel coils
-Additional advantageous features are resistance to fingerprints, humidity, and solvents or acids/bases, as well as surface conductivity and excellent formability that does not require metal forming oil

Cr3 Passivation

-Eco-friendly, cost-effective trivalent chromium (Cr3)-based conversion coating, free from hexavalent chromium (Cr6)
- It quickly reacts with the zinc surface to form a conversion coating, resulting in a coating weight of 30–50 mg/m²
- Can be used in both continuous and batch galvanized steel production lines 
- Provides excellent corrosion resistance for various galvanized steel coils 
- Additional desirable properties include humidity resistance, surface conductivity and good formability

Cr-free, Thin Organic Coating

- Advanced chromium-free thin organic coatings (TOCs), with a thickness ranging from 0.8 to 2.0 µm, are engineered to provide corrosion protection for high aluminum-content alloy coatings, such as Galvalume® (55% Al-Zn alloy-coated steel)
- Can be customized in various colors to accommodate customers' decorative preferences 
- Offers excellent corrosion protection to Galvalume
- Other desirable properties: anti-fingerprint, excellent adhesion to paints/adhesives
