Environmentally Safe Coating Solutions

About us

ECOSIL was founded in 2003 to meet the growing need for replacement of chromate and phosphate systems in metallic treatment lines. ECOSIL is a leader in the use of silanes in protective coatings, metal pretreatments, corrosion protection, metal to rubber bonding, and adhesion between metallic surfaces and organic coatings. ECOSIL has also developed state-of-the-art corrosion-inhibiting pigments and plasma-treated coating additives.

ECOSIL's chief technology officer, Dr. William Vanooij, is one of the foremost scientists in the use of silanes for adhesion, corrosion protection, and rubber bonding. Together with other ECOSIL team members we have over 25 years experience in this field.

We are located in Fairfield, Ohio, and can take advantage of:

■ Central location to major manufacturing industries in the U.S
■ Close relationship with the University of Cincinnati
■ Accessibility of state-of-the-art analytical resources of the University
■ Personnel with high degree of training in silane-related surface treatments
■ Easy access to international locations in Europe and Asia

We bridge the gap between laboratory research and practical implementation and expand novel technologies in new directions.

Our approach includes strong upfront research and development combined with practical engineering in the corrosion protection and bonding fields.

We are committed to providing environmentally friendly, quality solutions to customer needs.
